Tithebarn Townhouse

I could not gain access to the house so we did not end up staying there! I had sent an email to the owners on 03/04/24, asking them to confirm how I gain access to the property on 04/04/24- this was not responded to until the afternoon of the 05/04/24. I was attending a wedding in Poulton le Fylde so I did not arrive at the house until 23:07. Fortunately, I had not been drinking, but as it was raining heavily, I left my children in the car and tried to gain access by myself. I was using the last 3 emails I had received from booking.com which had specified a PIN of 9028, which would not give me access. I got my 14 year old daughter out to have a go too, which was obviously unsuccessful too. I then rang the local landline number provided on my booking.com confirmation, which just rang out with no answer… At this stage it was 23:40, and I just had to bite the bullet and drive the hour home so I could get my kids to bed. The next morning when I scoured through all my many emails about this booking, I eventually found one from the owners from 10/01/24 (the day after I made the booking), with a different PIN code for the lock safe of 1945, which I am sure would have given me access. Even, though the correct information was provided after booking, I still find it hard to believe that the relevant access information was not provided again closer to the check in date, and failing that, that local number provided for emergencies had no answer!! I feel lucky that I had the option to drive an hour, instead of having to sleep in my car with my two kids!! I am sure the house would have been lovely, if we had been able to access it. I would definitely recommend reviewing your pre check in policy for future bookings. Regards Sinéad Whitehead

Breakfast included was a little stretch of the imagination! 🤪 Milk juice & rock hard cereal in the cupboard!? Location. 😔

We had a fabulous stay, it was amazing to walk back and it only take two minutes to walk. The space was amazing, so big and we were able to make some food as we got ready to go out which was amazing too.

We loved everything.

Excellent location, luckily we found a parking spot outside. House very clean. We really only used it for sleeping and getting ready for a wedding. Plenty of hot water. Central heating too much for us so we turned down the main radiator.

No hanging rails in big bedroom Downstairs toilet not working when we were there, but main bathroom was fine Shelves would be useful in the bathroom

Perfect location and cosy house. Very spacious inside, deceptively. Large TVs in each downstairs room and main bedroom.

The location is excellent and it was comfortable. Nice little extras with supplies.

The stairs are narrow and steep but can’t be helped really, as it’s a traditional townhouse. Keysafe was fiddly to open.

Big lounge and kitchen. Decent sized bedrooms!

Could have had 2 pillows each on the beds
