Calla's place

Location was brilliant, we didn't need to use taxis at all. The house had everything we needed and was very comfortable for 4 adults. Host was so lovely and helpful and gave us lots of recommendations on where to go. There's a wee corner shop, chippy and a bakery just at the end of the street. We will definitely stay here again.

There were no issues

Calla's Place is very tastefully decorated in a fantastic location, just a short stroll to the city walls. The self check in was very easy and we were welcomed with lovely treats. The bedrooms were a good size too.

We were disappointed when we lifted the couch to look for a lost toy by the collection of rubbish and dirt. The house was otherwise clean. The mattresses were all poor quality, especially the one in the master bedroom.

Calla's Place was in a great location in terms of accessibility to the city center. There was a shop, bakery, and chipper just around the corner (very convenient), and then it was just a 10-15 minute walk to the city center. The decor in the house was very cute and the furniture comfortable. The space was a comfortable size for our family of six. The host (Rochelle) was very quick with communication, and the check-in/check-out procedures were clear and easy.

The house was very cold (16 degrees) when we arrived and took a long time to heat up. On our first night there someone walked by at night and banged loudly on the windows, which really startled us and made us question the safety of the neighborhood a bit. In all likelihood it was just someone messing around, but it wasn't a great feeling to start our stay. The house was cute, but a bit run-down. The beds weren't the most comfortable and one of the showers had a broken shower head. (We reported the shower head after our stay - the host said she wasn't aware of the broken shower head and that she would fix it.) There wasn't a freezer, which was a little inconvenient. The layout wasn't the best, as one bathroom is attached to a bedroom but then the other bathroom is on the first level. For adults that probably wouldn't be an issue, but for our kids needing a bathroom in the night it wasn't the greatest. The listing description mentioned complimentary wine or champagne, but there wasn't anything when we arrived.

The only issue really was that upstairs bathroom is accessed through a bedroom, but not really a problem as there was a very good bathroom downstairs too. Otherwise all good

We felt at home. There was room for the 4 of us to spread out. The neighborhood was lovely, and it was an easy walk to town. Loved the bakery at the end of the street. Went there for breakfast both mornings. I would definitely stay here again and for a bit longer.

The street parking is tricky for me, but it's because I'm not used to parallel parking. I had my travel buddies help me get out of my parking space, so it was fine. Anyway, once I parked, there was no need to move the car until I checked out.
