Cotswold Coombe Cottage

It's an immaculate cottage, beautifully decorated and kitted out to a very luxurious standard. Certainly not for those with mobility issues due to the stairs and bathroom upstairs but it is more than the usual holiday let..

The assumption that I as a customer Iwould "Own" and put up with a known major issue for the entirety of my stay as "Theres nothing I can do until it's fixed" The nest controller of the heating wasn't working and the previous guests had no heating.(I presume I was supposed to feel lucky that my problem was a raging hot cottage) In a nutshell the cottage was like an uncontrolled sauna with a constant noisy surging sounds from the boiler which is not so bad (just annoying) during the day but so noisy at night when you are attempting to sleep The owners "work around' was to have the heating on full blast or to manage at radiator level (which did not solve the problem remotely) The first night was like an Arabian Sauna and I managed 2 hours sleep. You can't turn off the blazing towel rail off in the upstairs ensuite and the noise of surging water is appalling If indeed you could bear the heat. I had to retreat downstairs to the kitchen in an attempt to sleep but the surging sounds were down there too. The lovely owner did come out the next morning and was apologetic but seemed nonplussed when I asked her why she didn't call me to discuss before I arrived.as she had sent a "message" It was assumed the simple message she sent was sufficient to alert us to such a major issue. If we had been given the courtesy of a call by the owner and were professionally informed there was a major issue with the heating and was given the appropriate choice to go somewhere without problems, we would have simply booked elsewhere, It's so easy at this time of the year and would have taken 15 mins. However no such customers consideration was given. We were expected to wear the owners issue like a mantle and not inconvenience them by refunding our money and going elsewhere.. What about the customers inconvenience? The owner offered a "free night" another time.

Immaculately clean, cosy, homely, rustic and SO quiet! We will definitely return, it was superb. Thank you so much 😊

Absolutely nothing. Think it was perfect

We really enjoyed staying at Coombe Cottage, the cottage was very clean and comfortable. The shower water pressure is fantastic, we saw alpacas in the field adjacent to the patio, the views are stunning, we really appreciated the thoughtful welcome hamper, the bathrobes and the warmth of the cosy wood burner. This cottage was super cosy and immaculately clean. Small touches like the hamper , milk and bread were a pleasant surprise.

Fantastic cottage, absolutely spotless, above and beyond what we expected.

Location was excellent for travelling to surrounding towns. The property is situated in a very peaceful and beautiful area.

Everything was great.

Great setup, welcome hamper, local info guide and super clean.
