Cotswold Coombe Cottage

I loved its character, history and location of Coombe Cottage and the way that it has been turned into beautiful, comfortable accommodation. Arwen and Russ have thought of everything and were so helpful.

There’s literally been nothing that we were missing during our stay.

This is the cleanest accommodation I've ever been to. The best furbished kitchen. It feels like home away from home. It's just outside a village with supermarkets, shops, pubs but it's very quiet so it feels like you are immersed in nature. Lovely views from the back garden, comfortable furniture to eat outside or relax.

The bed is good but the mattress sinks a bit towards the center. We slept well anyhow but it's a pity because you kind of have to get used to it.

This lovely cottage has everything you can ask for and even more! Arwen and Russ are the most considerate hosts - you’re greeted by a hamper with delicious local products, there’s milk and butter in the fridge and they even provide bread, jam, eggs and cereals, so you don’t have to worry about your breakfasts at all. Arwen was very helpful describing how to find the cottage if you arrive by public transport and answered all my questions immediately. The little garden behind the cottage has a lovely view and is a great place for breakfast or tea on a warm day. Since the cottage has three floors and the en suite is on the top floor, having a separate outside bathroom on the bottom (kitchen/garden) level was a very pleasant surprise. There are lots of nice walks around Wotton-under-Edge, several of which are described in the folder with informations about the cottage and the town. There are even hiking maps that you can take with you on a hike. I’ll definitely be back!

Coombe Cottage is a beautiful cottage with everything you need and more. It has a suntrap garden to the rear and the hosts left a gorgeous welcome pack; attention to detail was faultless. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and there were even bath robes to use.

We couldn't fault the cottage. The only thing to be aware of is a spiral staircase and split over 3 floors and parking is in front of the cottage and a little tight but neither of these points caused us any problems.

The cottage had absolutely everything needed for a wonderful relaxing stay. All the little personal touches made it exceptional. The hosts were so helpful and nothing was too much, thank you so much for a wonderful stay will definitely be back but next time with my walking boots, as there are so many beautiful walks.
