Cotswold Coombe Cottage

The cottage was clean and excellently equipped for making your own meals. The host's had left a complimentary basket of local goods, eggs, bread, treats and the most wonderful bottle of local apple juice I have ever tasted. They also left milk and butter in the fridge. Tea, coffee plus packet of breakfast cereals were also available. They also include a comprehensive guide about the cottage and the local amenities. Arwen and Russ kept in touch with me before I went and made me feel so welcome and safe. This cottage is beautiful and I can see it's looked after with love. I will certainly return to this little gem!

Peaceful and tranquil location. Situated away from the rush of modern life. I experienced stunning weather, and was able to eat out for both breakfast and dinner. Listening to the birdsong and entertaining Alpacas.

Parking in the small narrow lane. I have a small car and parked along a wall. That said, the lane was hardly used, only by the bin collection on a Friday.

The owners were fantastic, accommodated my needs and everything was so perfect and welcoming

I’m pretty hard to please when it comes to accommodation but this was pretty much perfect! Very clean, warm and cosy. Nice little touches - lovely little starter hamper. And great communication from hosts. Lovely location. Shops in 15-20 min walking distance. Walk along the stream is absolutely wonderful in the evening sun

Just a couple of little suggestions: a light in the bathroom (battery if electrics are an issue) to use in the night without putting on the fan which makes a very loud noise (not just normal fan sound. Also sink is small but has a full size full pressure tap - maybe corner tap/less powerful but really not a big deal

Beautifully decorated cottage. Exceptional attention to detail, very friendly hosts. We enjoyed our stay! We will definitely book again.

Toaster didn't work!

Living in this warm and cosy 3-level Weaver’s Cottage on the edge of the historic town of Wotton-under-Edge within the Cotswolds was a memorable and special “Escape to the Country” experience. The picturesque views from the rear of the property were exceptional – being visited by a pair of golden pheasants, alpacas, squirrels and some doves was an added bonus. There is a log fire with logs provided but we found the internal heating adequate. A comfortable bed with gowns to go was just what we needed to end our UK visit. The special welcome pack provided by Arwen and Russ was appreciated. Fully self-contained living with modern interior and appliances makes this property an ideal base for the Cotswolds. We would have loved to stay longer. “Lane” parking is directly outside the entrance.

Coombe Cottage was very clean and beautifully decorated with a homely feel. The welcome basket was so thoughtful along with other personalised touches, making the stay feel extra special. The views were stunning with an added bonus of alpacas in the field at the bottom of the garden in the mornings. The logfire created the perfect cosy atmosphere in the evenings. The bed was really comfortable, and the shower was really powerful. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here.
