Laxás Cottage

It was a cozy accommodation and comfortable.

3 bedrooms are perfect for my family. I also like the flexibility of check in.

This house is just amazing if you wanna have private place in nice nature with everything you need. The kitchen is fully staffed and with main ingredients you could need for cooking. Living room so comfortable and bedrooms are so spacious and cute. We were in such private that we didn’t have to put down the curtains to watch if there will be northern lights. And the hot tub is soo amazing.

We could find light switch for terrace, but that wasn’t that bad.

The Laxas cottage was clean, comfortable and well appointed. It was a warm relaxing place for our family of 5 after a long day of travels.

We did not end up in the hot tub as we had hoped. After filling it, it was only luke warm.

Lovely and Cozy. we were able to see aurora borealis and the sheep.

the bathroom needs improvement otherwise just adequate.

location is very good, great spot for northern lights in einter, easy access, plenty parking area, near the road but far enough to have privacy and dont hear noises or feel any vibrations of the road as other reciews mention. there are toiletries in the shower such as shampoo, there are english insteuctions to fill the hot pot and use it propperly, ther eis a gas grill with gas. 6 single beds divided in 3 rooms (2 each).

no wifi (we knew in advance), all the house is very old style, needs renovation specially the bathroom, floors are broken, mold oddor in some places (bathroom and storage room) fridge was disgusting dirty with rotten food liquids in the trays. heater was off at arrival -12 degrees weather, everything frozen. hot pot was empty and very old, we didnt want to even try to use it. kitchen is not fully equiped as description mention and only 2 burners, difficult to cook for 6 persons here. rooms are tight and beds are very very narrow 60cm maybe (I didnt measure). lights outside can not be turned off or at least no instructions or not easy to find the switch. hot water is ground geothermal and strong sulfur smell, a heat exchanger would be definetly something good for this place.
