Thornthwaite Farm

Absolutely loved the property, the perfect size for the two of us. Beds were very comfy, always very warm and the kitchen worked great. A smart tv is a nice bonus most places don’t have and decent size too. The shower and hot water both worked really well, owners very friendly with lovely friendly cats too. Overall a really lovely accommodation and would stay again

Only problem we had was the road up to the accommodation it self was very bumpy and quite a difficult drive if you were a new/nervous driver.

So quiet and peacefully. Very clean and tidy.

Everything! Our hosts provided us with great local information. The cottage was super clean and cosy. 10/10 would recommend, if your looking for a quiet comfortable place to stay.

2ish miles of narrow single track roads and rough pothole private road into property

We booked two holiday cottages; one for a single adult and one for four adults. Everyone was delighted with everything. The cottages are comfortable, clean and offer all the facilities you could wish for. Jean and Claire who run the farm and the cottages are wonderful hosts. The location is superb if you like beautiful scenery, a bit of isolation from everyday life and the challenge of driving over the fells and up a long farm track to get there.
