Erpsstadir Cottage

We had an amazing stay at Erpstaddir Cottage. On the night we arrived, we were cold and dead tired after a long journey so a warm soak in the hot tub was exactly what we needed! The cherry on the cake was the brilliant display of green lights dancing above our heads. Truly an unforgettable memory.

We don't like writing a very bad review. We appreciate that this is people’s livelihood. But it is also our hard working money and our vacation and this was really bad. There were no cold water! On the day we were to arrive we got an email that their well had drained. We understand this is an ongoing problem (they had bottle of water in the house for us) but this means no water for drinking, washing machine or toilet! This is an ongoing problem which they only updated about at the last minute. The warm water smells horrible. Also, the unit is not well maintained, bathroom’s pipes look old and there is a strong smell of mold. We don't understand how this place is rated so high. We feel bad for providing this review but we wish we knew in advance.

Well-equipped house, in a quiet and relaxing location. Enough space for comfortable allocation of family with kids. Hot bath with BBQ are deal breakers. And I love the opportunity to go down the hill for farm products. Would stay here again without a second thought.

The house looks unfinished in some places, though it does not impact the overall comfort.

Great location, very lovely cottage and easy contact with the owners. After arrival the hot tub was waiting for us and we could enjoy it with the amazing landscape around.

The bathroom definitely needs to be renovated, lack of coffee.
