the bed and the see through floor was incredible, there was a small balcony for washing and drying clothes which was a nice addition to the space. + theres a lovely resteraunt just next door.

there wasnt anything that my and my partner didnt like. our stay was free off stress or obstacles.

Lovely small well equipped apartment in a quite residential area of Kyoto but with good transport links (bus stop and Higashiyama station around the corner, walking distance to Sanjo station, the canal and Gion). Super comfortable and clean with all the amenities for a short or even slightly longer stay (including washing machine). I loved the minimalist Japanese style of the apartment and it really felt like a home away from home. Very friendly owner/manager with guest house in short walking distance (she did not speak English but for me this is was not a problem and there is always google translator). Highly recommended for independent travellers who want a more local experience. Great for solo travellers or a couple. I absolutely loved it here and really hope I can stay again in the future!

The only thing missing in the apartment to make it perfect is a small kitchenette (there is only a kettle, microwave and fridge). It was not a problem for me but if you are sensitive to light this may not be the best option for you (no blackout curtains and the emergency exit light is quite bright at night).

Some design are not very functional, for example there was no towel rack to hang wet towels near the bathroom; stairs were too steep and I fell once on them; no natural airflow so air conditioner or fan needs to be on all the time

Really nice house. It is well located, close to the center of Kyoto. The hosts have been accommodating for our check-in time. I highly recommend!

Loud and creaky upper floor.

It's a super cool place! They unfortunately messed up our booking, by double booking. However, they put us in a different room for one night (also just as cool) and then moved us to our booked option for the next two nights. It's a funky and cool space that lives up to the photos. It's comfortable, clean and something different to the standard hotel.

It's a decent 5km from Kyoto station, and about 15mins walk to the market, but apart from that it's pretty cool.

Great host. Spectacular apartment with great location. Well recommended.

the emergency light is too bright and lights up the whole room when you are trying to sleep. I asked if I can switch it off but this wasn’t possible.
