We LOVED our time at this cute house in Higashiyama! It has everything you need for a comfortable home base in Kyoto. We liked the short stroll to the river and easy access to Higashiyama Station. Laundry facilities were so helpful.

Stairs are steep inside, more like a ladder. Just be aware if you have any mobility issues.

Loved everything about this little house. It was spotless clean, cosy, comfortable and so nice!

Very close to a major subway stop. Quiet. Comfortable bed. Washing machine. Strong water pressure on the shower and a deep bathtub.

The bed is on the second floor, and the stairs are very steep. I would not recommend for anyone very old or with mobility issues.

Very quaint private place. It was great value for money, very private and well maintained. The setup in the property was also very nice, with one floor dedicated to the sleeping area.

The apartment is amazing!! An amazing shower room with all supplies, bathrobes. Super comfortable bed and duvets. A small laundry room where clothes dry in minutes. The staff was very helpful and communicative.

Perfect stay

Lovely self contained space perfect for a couple who are fine with steep stairs up to the bedroom. I recommend an eye mask if you need a dark room to sleep in. All comfortable, separate toilet to shower, small fridge and washing machine upstairs. We love this area and it’s the second time we’ve stayed around here. Quiet at night and a Kyoto bargain for the space you get.

It is compact which is usual for Japan, didn’t bother us, but be sure you are fine with steep steps to the bedroom upstairs.
