"Excellent living in a piece of history"

Beautifully preserved vintage house, very engaged host. Really enjoyed the recommended noodles (and Rennosukes ramen place nearby). The advice about Funuoka onsen was a great one, and the host even provides an onsen visitation kit with the apartment. Bread was yummy, especially liked the walnut bread

For getting to east and south Tokyo, location is not perfect - but also the area was really nice and calm which was great.

Such a unique and special experience. This home is a rare and beautiful way to visit Kyoto. Ken was extremely helpful and kind, and recommended the best things in Kyoto. Comfortable and traditional. Clean, great location, quiet, and like a living museum. Delicious bread every morning.
