Yonemuraya, the well-restored Japanese Showa Style House 米村家

築100年の古民家をおしゃれにリノベーションされていて、広くはなくても快適で、一棟貸しの贅沢さを十二分に楽しめました。急な階段で申し訳ないとおっしゃってた点も、昔のおばあちゃんちに来たようで懐かしかったです。 　寝心地抜群の寝具、朝のフルーツ盛り沢山の朝食、オーナーさんおすすめの食事処や神社、ドライブルートも完璧で、旧友3人との、忘れられない松江の旅となりました。

　ただひとつ残念だったのは、シャワーしかないことでした。　近くの温泉も紹介していただきましたが、お部屋でくつろぐ方が楽しくて、結局行きませんでした。

Het oude huis is heel sfeervol gerenoveerd. Met name de woonkamer en keuken zijn heel smaakvol ingericht. Wij vonden het een hele leuke ervaring om in een traditioneel huis te verblijven. De host was super aardig en we hebben ons zelden zo welkom gevoeld. Ze heeft ons veel tips gegeven en geholpen met een aantal praktisch zaken. Ieder ochtend werd er voor een heerlijk ontbijt gezorgd met veel vers fruit. Als we ooit terug komen naar Matsue, komen we hier zeker terug.

Niet iets wat ons tegenviel maar wel handig om te weten. De trap naar de eerste verdieping is erg steil, daarmee is de accommodatie minder geschikt voor mensen die slecht ter been zijn.

オーナーがとても親切で旅の疲れも吹き飛びました 朝のフルーツ豪華盛も感動です お部屋の飾りも一つ一つがお洒落でセンスがよいです 気持ちのよい旅になりました

場所的に仕方がなかったと思うのですが、強いて言えばシャワー室が狭かったくらいでしょうか……

Merci à Emi pour son accueil chaleureux, ses conseils en matière de restaurant, et sa gentillesse ! La maison est confortable et magnifique, nous y avons très bien dormi, le petit déjeuner était excellent. Nous aurions voulu rester plus longtemps !!

Matsue is outside of the over-touristed parts of Japan and well worth a visit. Staying at Emi's beautifully restored traditional house was a highlight for us, especially as our host was so kind, welcoming and helpful. Her dining and sightseeing recommendations were some of our best experiences during one month traveling around Japan.

We liked everything. Travellers with mobility challenges may have difficulties with the steep stairs to the second floor, but the host can arrange to put the futons on the main floor if needed.

Emi was the most thorough, kind, helpful host we have had in all our travels. The experience in the house is understated in booking. We were surprised to find out that it is an authentic Japanese house. Emi helped us with restaurant information, commute information, calling a taxi, earlier than normal breakfast when we had to leave.

The location is fairly far from the train station if you are rolling/carrying luggage. We recommend a taxi. While the following was not really a problem, you should be aware there is not central heating, so some areas of the house can be a little chilly when it is cold outside. The stairs to the upper bedroom are steep, but Emi will set up futon beds in the downstairs if you need this.
