I loved how beautifully kept, yet modern the old house was.

The place was in a lovely area, but a bit of a walk (10mins-15mins) from the train and bus stations.

Area that’s close to Gion and sites, very quiet, helpful and friendly host, light continental breakfast provided, affordable way to experience a Ryokan

Ono was very kind, helpful and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. His home is a beautiful, traditional Ryokan and we found it to be a unique and very restful experience. Would return in a heartbeat!
