You can get a Japan breakfast with an extra price and it totally worths it. You should give it a try. Landlady is so kind. Rooms are spacious enough to accomodate a small group of people. Location is 10-15 min on foot to Nara Station.

Ground floor is a ramen shop and you have to get through it to reach stairs of upper floor(it is in room behind of the shop) which has no door, it might make you feel less private. Bathroom is at the ground floor, so you might not feel comfortable to take a shower while the shop runs.

If I needed anything I could get it quite easily.

I felt as if there was no privacy and false advertisement couldn't go in most of the rooms.

There was a fun massage chair in one of the rooms which you could use for as long as you liked.

I am the person who always tries to leave positive reviews but I am afraid this will not be the case here. We didn't have a positive experience for many reasons: 1. We were not asked to mention arrival time and we assumed we would just have to turn up (our bad, we learned from this experience that we should never assume). We arrived and waited for someone to show up for about 30 minutes. 2. When the lady finally arrived and we were handed over the keys, we wanted to pay her for our stay (it was around 1pm) and she said it was ok and that we could pay her later. We asked what time and she said no problem, anytime. Given the property was far from any activities, we spent the day out and planned to get back home for 10pm. No-one was at the property. The lady then tried contacting us to collect the money and came to find us at 11pm to get paid. We felt there was so much lack of tact with the whole thing which could have been avoided if we had paid earlier as requested. 3. The flat upstairs and bathroom downstairs don't have doors so you never feel you have full privacy. Plus, it is all connected to the back kitchen/storage space of the restaurant and because of that it all smells like fried oil. 4. The rooms upstairs were so cold. There was an air-conditioning unit but it took it 4 hours to heat the space up. When I told the lady I was feeling cold she just brought me more blankets. 5. The level of cleanliness was not up to general standards. As an example, I found pubic hair on the toilet seat and dust all over the flat. 6. We woke up at 7am from noise downstairs in the restaurant. The owner decided it was a good time to do some cleaning, even though she left right after and we never saw her to check out in person. I am aware this was a value for money place but the photos and good reviews certainly deceived us. We really wanted to like our stay there but we spent the evening debating if we should go to a different hotel.

Most economical rate of all our bookings in Wakayama, and a decent full house for us only.

We found someone when we arrived: seems to be a mistake from the host or person. the beds were not prepared but the kind host lady quickly set up everything. Nice table with integrated blanket with heating system under the table: nice as it was winter time.

The breakfast was fantastic

Privacy, Japanese style. It is clean, and combini is not far.

Owner was not very welcome, and felt annoyed but my late arrive. Pay only with cash.
