Guesthouse Yoshikawa

Nice place to stay for the night. The host was very friendly and the breakfast the next morning was totally worth it.

Only issue I found was the toilet was small/awkward to use for someone that's tall.

The rooms were spacious, warm with a heat pump as well as a kotatsu, nice warm bedding. The breakfast was generous and delicious.

The bathroom was only semi-private, and although there was a separate toilet, it was very crampt and had no soap. The area was generally quiet, but the walls of the house were very thin even with windows closed.

wonderful experience! the staff members show great hospitality and the room is quite big on the second floor.

the location is somehow remote from JR Nara, and a little Japanese is required.

The place was very cute, a traditional apartment upstairs from an old restaurant. The lady who owns it is so cute and lovely, she cooked us breakfast and gave good recommendations for restaurants. It was also a nice walk to Nara park and the area was not too loud.

It is big, three rooms and clean. The owner was cooperative and helping. She offers breakfast.

Place is upstairs, There is no privacy. downstairs is restaurant which was closed however Open or close does not matter. There is no door between restaurant and upstairs house. Shower room is downstairs. I wish I could have another option and cancel this.

We got the whole 2nd floor just for ourselves. Two rooms and a living room, balcony, toilet (funnily small, watch out!l and a bathroom which is downstairs. On the 1st floor there is a small ramen restaurant so it's rather an unusual place to stay. We took breakfast (500 yen/person/1 breakfast) and it was totally worth its prize - salmon, salad, rice, soup, vegetables like spinach/green bean etc, scrambled eggs, tea, coffee. The host lady was very kind, however she didn't speak any English so you need a translator (not a bad thing, just keep that in mind). Place was very clean and spacious. One of the best booking surprises so far. Totally recommend it.

Amazingly small toilet. You'll see what I'm talking about once you get there :D
