City Center House Next to Subway Station

Has one nice tatami-traditional room. Bathtub is quite comfortable, but it took time to understand control panel (I am not Japanese). Neighbor has a dog, but barking was not an issue. Communication with host is very quick and helpful.

One toilet room is very small - your legs are inconveniently close to the door (and I am not a big person). Microwave is hard to open - you must keep it in place with one hand, while pulling the doors with the other.

This place is super comfortable for groups! There are plenty of rooms, a spacious living area, and a fully equipped kitchen. The location is great—very close to the station and a convenience store, so getting around and grabbing essentials was easy. My favorite part: there are super market within 5 minutes walks! The Japanese-style decor gives the house a warm and authentic vibe. Would definitely come back when I visit Kyoto again!

There’s a wooden staircase that’s a bit steep, so you have to be careful when carrying big luggage. But overall, I had a great stay.

It is a cute old house but very worn down. The toilets are extremely tight (smaller than the standard small Japanese toilets, not suitable for anyone taller than 1.8m). There is no TV. One of the rooms did not have anywhere to hang or leave clothes. I think the windows had not been opened for a while. Plenty of towels which was great. The location was okay with a metro station at a very close distance. The host was pretty good at responding to messages. Extremely helpful that they let us store our luggage a few hours before the check in, thank you!

Excellent location. Underfloor heating in bathroom a bonus. Powerful shower. Comfy beds.

Very poorly equipped - 4 adults in a 3 bedroomed house only had 2 drinking glasses and 2 small plates. Washing machine but no tumble dryer. Stairs VERY STEEP. 2 toilets but both in very tiny spaces - in one you had your knees against the wall in front of you if you sat on toilet and in the other your knees were pushing against the door!

Experienced staying in a traditional Japanese house. Property is close to Imadegawa train station and taking the bus is also easy. Located in a very quiet neighbourhood. The owner was very helpful and very responsive to our messages during our stay.

A deep cleaning of the property would be much appreciated. A bit dusty around each corner of the house.

I loved the house it felt traditional and having an authentic Japanese experience. The staff were very response via whatsapp for any questions. We loved our stay and can't wait to stay again.

The location is practical to reach easily any part of Kyoto. We rented the full house (3 bedrooms) so we had plenty of room. The appliances are modern, the bathroom is wide enough to enjoy both shower and bath. The beds are comfortable and if you prefer it the Japanese way, there is on room with futons. Our host was very nice and would reply rapidly to any question.
