Pukaki Lakeside Getaway NZ

We stayed for 2 nights. Lakeview is superb with serene waters of lake pukaki The property is big and you can take long walks & play with kids. The rooms are well furnished, large & airy and has a big bathroom with a bathtub ( helps after a trek ) and a nice kitchen. Heaters in all rooms and nice comfortable sofas. We got an early check in thanks to the hosts and a slightly late checkout also. Must visit for your Mount cook trip as aptly placed for mount cook and tekapo ( 40 km odd )

All was what was described.... But yes a dishwasher & washing machine will help for longer srays

Absolute perfect location. A beautiful, well appointed home.

Views are even better than the pictures. Bath tub was really nice. Kitchen was provided with every thing we needed for cooking. Comfortable parking. There’s a path to reach the beautiful lake. It’s so quiet. The garden is very well maintained.

In general, it looks like an old house that hasn’t been renewed lately. Furniture with clear signs of wear, windows that didn’t close properly and were not clean, etc. Very expensive for what you get. We asked them to use the other’s house laundry since it wasn’t occupied and the entrance is independent from the rest of the house but they just said “I’m afraid not.” Probably one of those gestures that makes the difference.

Excellent lake view nicely tucked away at the lake edge away from all the noise but only 1/2 drive away from mnt Cook hikes. Good heating and very clean cabin.

The location is absolutely stunning, peaceful and the cottage had everything we needed for our stay.

The views are amazing great spot to just sit back relax and enjoy the view after walking the hooker valley track.

An extra roll of toilet paper would have been good

The lake views were exceptional. A real cottage feel, cosy beds and the shower was awesome. Loved our visits from a friendly dog named Hari! But again, the views were world class, such a privilege to wake up to.

Views are unmatched, cottage was lovely to stay in. Each room had a radiator heater and the living room a split system, the bathroom had underfloor heating and a heated towel rail as well as a gas heater wall fan. Exceptionally cosy place to stay. All the grounds were incredibly cared for. Would recommend this stay to absolutely everyone.

There was some long hair left in the bath, as well as the shower drain wouldn’t drain, so I had to pop the tile drain cover off and it was matted with hair. Didn’t affect our stay at all but a small detail gone missed by the cleaning staff. You are maybe 10 metres away from the house / cottage and other guests so the night sky depends on your neighbours turning the outside lights off when they go to bed.
