Kyomachiya Real Kyoto Wabisabi

Everything is perfect. Close to JR station, very convenient to travel. The community around is quiet and local. And Yoshi San provided a lot of useful information. Ideal place to stay in Kyoto.

Yoshi was an excellent host. He was communicative right off the start and provided detail description (with pictures) of how to get to the Machiya from the moment you step on the train from Kyoto station. The Machiya is centrally and conveniently located and gives you a sense of living locally. The place has everything you needed and was very comfortable to stay in. We definitely took advantage of the laundry and the back is covered so you can dry your clothes out with ease! We stayed for a total of 6 nights and 7 days. Yoshi was also very kind and providing great travel and day trip ideas. Most importantly, he helped us navigate through the procedures of luggage forwarding and made sure our luggage arrived from and to Tokyo. This will be my go to stay when I come back to Kyoto again! Thank you so much for having us and providing the best hospitality services we ever had!

Staying at the old-style house in a quiet, residential area was a perfect way to experience Kyoto for me and my family. Despite it was a traditional house, it turned out to be very comfortable, well-equipped in all the modern appliances. We visited Kyoto during a heat wave and still the rooms were pleasantly chill, with AC working perfectly. The host, Mr Yoshi, was not only very friendly, but also gave us a lot of concrete information and tips about how to get to some places of interest, and how to navigate the neighborhood (which has some nice local restaurants and a good French-style bakery 5 minutes from home). We had a great time there!

Position, calm neighbourhood

The house wasn’t really clean, lots of dust everywhere. The ceiling is quite low in the corridor between the kitchen and room, quite difficult for a tall person

Personel was very kind and he helped us alot with everything. He wrote down all nice places to visit and told us how we can arrive there. Location was really good and we could access everywhere with train or bus. The area was very calm.

for Japanies standard was not so clean. It could be better.
