Silver Fern - Lake Tekapo

A modern home with excellent finishes. This house is equipped with everything you may need for a short or long stay.The view is amazing and the deck and high quality outside furniture makes for a great location to relax.

Beautiful modern house with terrific views of the lake. Great location. Kitchen was modern and rooms were comfortable.

A big issue is the slow WiFi speed (averaged mbps - 7 mbps) which is simply not acceptable. Also TVs in the lounge area provided no free view channels and were not Smart TVs to allow for streaming service.

Very clean and great location with amazing views.

The bedrooms get very hot, especially the master bedroom in the daytime/evening.. There is AC but only in the living room. The deck is beautiful to sit on at night to enjoy the stars but there is no shade at all during the day.

loved the view of the lake and the kitchen was well stocked. we were just a short drive away from tekapo village centre.

the queen bed in the second bedroom was abit too soft for comfort.

The views were amazing, loved the facilities in the bathroom and the space. There was enough space for all 8 of us adults to comfortably relax and appreciate the sites of Lake Tekapo! The view was absolutely amazing and the deck was excellent. Also loved the little TV alcove for separate hang outs.

The bedding felt quite papery and beds weren’t 100% comfortable but sufficient for our stay. There also wasn’t enough proper cooking utensils and basics like salt, oil etc. that I would normally expect from a place like this.

Loved the view, epic deck area, fantastic extra lounge space we loved, and overall warm and spacious property for our family of 6 and 2 infants. I especially loved the fluffy down duvet, blanket and was a comfortable queen bed.

The maintenance and lack of professional cleaning really let this place down. When we arrived there was a bit of a mouldy smell in the bathroom, and there is a fair amount of maintenance and cleaning that needs to be done. I.e the laundry and bedroom doors didn't shut properly, coffee and side tables were both very wobbly and felt like they were going to break, cobwebs on windows and ceilings, questionable marks on bathroom and bedroom walls (we wiped these off), and there was no salt (no biggie, just a nice to have). None of these things were major, but shouldn't be an issue when you are paying a premium price.
