Beach Folly - Whitianga

This property was amazing, it was cute, comfortable and prefect for our weekend getaway. It was so close to town so we were able to walk to the cafes.

There was a tiny bit of noise from the place next door but it didn’t last long or bother us.

The accomodation itself was very good interior and exterior with little courtyard. Extra bonus was the washing machine. The bed was a little soft for our liking but that is a personal thing. Sitting area very comfy with choice of sofa and chair.

We did not like being very close to an entertainment venue, but perhaps I missed this in previous reviews. Music on first evening went on until 1am and people milled around for another 40 minutes or so. 2nd evening was better as different age group so probably midnight or thereabouts. Hosts did supply earplugs which on first arrival I thought odd lol- but obviously was a good extra.

Lovely place with a nice amblence with thoughtful touches to enjoy

Curtains needed in bedroom to darken as street lights affect the room. Shame with location being in a industrial area with a music venue one along and loud music to the early hours.

Not much really, would have been nice to stay longer. Bathroom basin small to use, and kinda needed along length mirror, went to a wedding

The location is very central, with an industrial feel on one side though most places quiet or empty. Our side had houses, cafe and church and empty lot. Easy walk to beach and harbour. The house itself was generously and artistically presented.

Very comfortable well appointed and wonderful location. Walking distance to wharf restaurants and shops. Cosy with all you need for a comfortable stay

It’s a tidy & cute property with a large kitchen.

Advertised as secure parking on the driveway but you can’t park on the drive. Property is in a semi-industrial area & two doors down from a bar that opens at 10pm & is VERY loud, not great when the property is single glazed. The property is cold with inadequate heating. One roll of toilet paper supplied which was annoying. Needs to be sprayed for bugs as we had a cockroach & a weta come for a visit. Overall very disappointing stay
