Casa Tradicional da Vila

We liked having a fully working kitchen for breakfasts in the morning and an occasional dinner at night. We liked the extra space to stretch out at night after a long day of hiking and exploring. We liked watching TV in the comfortable living room. We liked the ability to do wash, clean the dishes, vacuum the floor. The decor was cute and entertaining. The house was not heated, but the portable heaters compensated well enough. We would have loved to have spent more time in the nice outside yard, if the weather was better. Next time.

Great place for a longer stay on San Miguel island. Fully equipped house with garden, with all facilities. Very friendly and and always helpful host.

Dishwasher and washing machine are rather old and require special tricks to have them working properly ;)

The property had everything you needed, cabinets were stocked with kitchenware, it had every appliance you may need, close to town and the hospitality of the hosts was excellent.

We loved staying in this special and beautiful house. Everything was perfect and it felt like home. We had a nice bbq in the very well kept garden, cooked meals in the complete kitchen and watched a film by the fireplace in the living room. We ate bananas that the kind neighbours offered us. We have stayed in a lot of different places all over the world but this is the house that we would always want to live in. Dear Pedro and family, thank you!

Wonderful places to stay with friendly owner who left a welcome basket with tasteful things. We loved the garden. Because of the wind and rain we did not use it often but there is enough place to sit. Two sunbeds and beautiful flowers. Wasmachine and dishwasher behind the kitchen. Big bedrooms with high beds. Cosy livingroom and lots of nice art on the wall. Walking distance to restaurants, small supermarket and postoffice. Big supermarket pingo when you drive into town. We enjoyed our stay here.

Difficult to park the car close by. We managed mostly at the end of the street. If you have a very small car you might be able to park it next to the house.

It was clean, comfortable, good location to explore all points of the island and it had everything we needed!

You need to rent a small car and be excellent at parking on the narrow street.

Very clean house, interior decoration was also very historical and nice. Big beautiful garden with barbeque facilities. Neighbours were kindly and gave instructions for car parking. Electrical heaters for bedrooms, washing machine and dishwasher were also nice features.

Streets in the old areas of the city are very narrow, but it is same situation in all old cities of course... Good thing is that local drivers drive wisely and co-operative way.

The house is perfectly located to explore the whole island. You can find comfortable beds, a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom, a cozy eating and living area with an open fireplace and last but not least a beautiful garden. Our host Duarte was english speaking and was waiting for us upon arrival. it was a warm welcome, the hosts even provided a foid basket, some coffee capsulas and washing equipment free of charge. diswasher and washing maschine are available. all together, it was a really nice stay and we did not really want to leave.
