A beautiful house in an excellent location within walking distance of everything. Stunning views of the castle and countryside from the lovely garden. Stylishly designed and decorated with great attention to guest comfort. Absolutely fantastic hosts who welcomed us warmly and ensured we had everything for a perfect stay!

Nothing, it was all excellent!

My family loved our stay in Óbidos! The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped but with interesting history. The upstairs bedroom and bathroom were spacious and cozy, and the modern living room and kitchen added to the charm. Located less than a 10-minute walk from the town center, it was perfect for enjoying the night views and morning strolls. Unfortunately, we couldn't use the terrace due to the cold weather. The host was welcoming and flexible with our arrival time, ensuring we felt comfortable and providing helpful local tips. He even prepared water and snacks, which was a nice touch for our late arrival. We highly recommend this place!

I found the downstairs bed in the living room to be somewhat small. While I found it comfortable, I can see how it might be less suitable for taller individuals.

Excellent location. An easy short walk to Obidos castle with its many restaurants and shops. Although we had a rental car we chose to walk 15 minutes to two large grocery stores. We felt at home!

Good view, clean

I wouldn’t recommend this property for those travelling with pets or seeking a peaceful stay. While the view is great and the property is well-maintained, several issues significantly detracted from the experience. The garden, which was a key reason for booking, offers no privacy as it is entirely open to view, and the property is located right beside a busy road. The constant noise, even in the off-season, made it difficult to enjoy the outdoor space. Additionally, the host was not particularly welcoming. While they spoke English, all communication was sent in Portuguese, which added unnecessary inconvenience. This wasn’t a major issue but did reflect a lack of effort. The final straw was the handling of pet charges. We were surprised by additional €20 charge that was not disclosed in advance. The host gave inconsistent explanations—first claiming it was a tax, then later saying it was a cleaning fee. This lack of transparency felt exploitative and left a sour taste, overshadowing the stay.

This home had everything you would need to settle in to explore the area. The back patio has a wonderful view of both the walled city an and the surrounding countryside.

It is on a busy road although very quiet inside.

The host was there to meet us when we arrived and he was extremely helpful. He was able to get us a reservation at a very nice restaurant in town.
