Absolutely lovely villa apartment, comfortable bed and of course the view! We loved the pool and the fact it's saltwater. Even though it's shared, most of the time we had the outside to ourselves or with just one other couple. There is a dog sanctuary a 7 min walk away, if you like dogs go and ask if you can walk them one morning!

Check in was confusing. We stated our check in time and we were advised Laurent would meet us at the check in point. We arrive at our scheduled time and there is no indication of a check in point. We waited and looked around but couldn't see Laurent so we had to phone him. He said he would be there in 15 minutes. It would have been nice to have a smoother check in because it is not cheap to have to phone internationally! Also you will need a car that can handle steep inclines :)

Amazing location with a lovely host. Laurent was incredibly friendly and extended helpful and we really enjoyed our stay. Villa was simply but tastefully furnished and really clean. Heaters and large TV available for those colder days/nights if you didn’t want to venture away. The elevated patio for sole use just outside the lounge doors had wonderful views and a beautiful place to eat/drink/relax. Main pool area was equally superb.

The accommodations and the host

we were a little sceptical if the location really looked like the pictures we saw when making the booking. And we were most certainly not disappointed when we arrived.it did. The view from the location was breathtaking. The appartment was very comfortable and very clean. The owner Laurent was very friendly and informative about things to do and places to go. The roads leading up to the location (last 800 meters) certainly need some maintainance. Overall I would highly recommend Monte Borboleta as a great location and a place were you can certainly find peace and quiet with a fantastic view.

As per above, the last 800 meters were a dirt track with a lot of Pot holes. Not good for a (rental) car. The location is outside Faro, which meant you always had to drive somewhere for resturants or nightlife.

The host was wonderful. We loved the views and the property was very clean. Unfortunately the weather was cooler than normal so we didn’t get to enjoy the pool and outside areas

A truly exceptional place with a stunning view from the hills all the way to the sea. Bliss!

The location was fantastic. The host very friendly and gave us lots of useful tips. For shopping ( food) you definitely need a car, to go shopping down in Faro.

It was a little difficult, that the toilet was right next to the bedroom and separated by a small curtain. So you have to travel with a very nice friend or your partner as you can hear all noises 😌
