Casa Oliveira Esmeraldo - Guest Houses

We absolutely loved this place. The interior of the house is very tasteful and everything was super clean. The house had (almost) everything we needed. The garden is just beautiful and we were lucky enough to meet Nuno on our last day, who told us so much about all the plants. The views are stunning in every direction and we loved that it is just the tiniest bit out of the center but still in walking distance. If we come back to Madeira, we'd definitely stay here again.

Salt, Pepper, Oil in the kitchen would have been great. We ate out a lot but also cooked ourselves a few times so had to buy salt and pepper, which now hopefully will come in handy for future guests. Also a pair of scissors in the kitchen would have been useful.

The part of the big house, we were renting, was 3 bedroom apartment. It was exactly as on the pictures - big, comfortable, clean, it will suit up to 3 couples/families, nicely furnished and well equipped. The garden and pool is shared, but still quite private, well maintained and cosy.

I spent 9 days in Casa Oliveria Esmeraldo in January. The house, it's garden, the view and everything was just perfect. Duarte and Nuno are super nice, very helpful and always available. The whole north region is just like a fairytale. Sao Vicente and the house with the surrounding are perfect if you want to get out of everyday life and find your peace. It was very hard to leave.

Check in welcome terrible One of our houses because we rent both of the big houses wasn't close to be ready at 15h. There is such a lack of caring for the house and for the guests that is remarkable how and why you are in this business. Please just make renovation and sell the business for someone that can properly administrated.

The house that I rented isn't the one I founded, but unfortunately in high season was impossible to change accommodation and I had to stay. I tried to make the best but must report a lack of care and even negative impact on my vacation from the host making a cancellation of one of the property s after one talk. I will not advice this property for relaxed vacation on the north side of the island. Dull kitchen Not proper cleaned Pest inside Difficult communication and not knowledge of hosting Guests.

Everything was just perfect for our 5 night stay. The property is very easy to access, breath taking views & cosy, well thought out & equipped little flat. Clean and comfortable. Bottle of wine and water upon arrival was also appreciated. The location is great for exploring the North part of the island, walking distance to the town centre, shops & restaurants. Would definitely stay there again!

Have no major complaints, however, there were few little things I thought could be improved in my opinion, such as having basic condiments for cooking (salt, oil, pepper), the EXIT sign above the door is way too bright for those who want complete darkness to sleep (we had to cover it with the towel) and the fridge a bit too noisy as well. None of that was a major inconvenience though.
