The view from the terrace, the cozy apartment, the location were amazing. Everything we needed was there, like parking and kitchen utensils. We would definitely come back.

The only thing we had some problem with was the mattress, it was too soft and worn out

Location interesting, boy touristy. Owner did fix air con promptly.

Instruction for how to get into the property arrived several days after we did, had to contact the owner to get in. Flat was damp - humidifier was provided but didn't really impact the dampness or smell. No extractor fan for cooker which added to the smell. Limited kit e.g. only one wine glass. Nobody seemed to have checked even though beginning of the season, for example air con unit broken.

Free parking, Heat, charm, big rooms, modern bathrooms, tvs in every bedroom.

There was spider pop in the corner of the kitchen and no broom so I could sweep it up. No amenities whatsoever.

Location is perfect, a little oasis. You can lie in bed and see the sea through the double doors. Access to pool is great, even though it was Feb when we stayed we still used it. We stayed in one of the 2 1 bed apartment, there are 4 apartments within the property so the pool and parking are shared.

Smells intolerably of damp. With the doors open it’s manageable but at night it’s difficult to sleep due to the smell. We mentioned to the owner who offered to pay for a hotel for us which was a good option but we stayed as it we liked the privacy. They need to sort out the damp issue. Lack of ‘home comforts’ - table lamps to create a cosy atmosphere, salt, pepper & olive oil are no where to be seen. Freezer needs cleaning as packed with ice. Bed seems to be quite well used, heavy indentations in the mattress. TV isn’t connected to the internet.

The property is situated on a fabulous town, S,Vicente, and it's a great place to stay if what you are looking for is authenticity, quietness, nature and amazing views. Great base to explore the island as S.Vicente is connected to the South side of Madeira through an excellent tunnel infrastructure (very easy drive in and out of S.Vicente - unlike other locations that can pose trickier drives).

The location was good with lovely views and nice and quiet.

The house smelt a bit damp. There were no basic condiments for cooking - something other reviewers have noted and they say they left things for future users. Despite saying that toiletries would be provided, there was just a bar of soap which meant we had to buy shampoo. I think shampoo and probably shower get should be considered basic toiletries. The lighting was very bright and the house would benefit from a floor or table lamp to be a bit cosier.
