Vacation House DC

Distance from city was convenient. Parking was easy. Low cost. Easy to understand entry information. The upstairs beds were amazing. Very useful to have access to washing machine and dryer.

No instructions for appliances. No information about local shops and facilities. It needed a good clean. It's a tired looking and feeling property. There was no duvet cover on the bed, therefore probably not washed. There was a single sheet beneath that duvet but we are still in contact with the duvet. Kitchen area is very small, but to be fair, it served its purpose.

The apartment was clean with a new bathroom. Location of the apartment is also fine, but it is 30 minutes by walk to the closest metro stop.

Landlord didnt send me instructions 24 hours before my arrival and I was supposed to call with booking support. After few hours I got a message and everything was fine. I though that the whole house is for 3-4 people (like photos), not just one apartment upstairs. I didnt grill outside, because I had no access to the garden.

It was close to the convention center we attended for the weekend.

The place very small and the pictures didn't match the ad there was cockroaches everywhere.

I liked that I used an American Express credit card to book on Booking.com because Booking.com would not give me a refund after being told to go to a different property than the one I booked.

I didn't like that my vacation was ruined by a "Bait and Switch" scam. Sad.

Great location, about 40 min by bus from downtown, the bus station is 3 min away. Clean rooms, comfy beds, big kitchen with everything you need including toast, coffee maker; bathroom with towels, shower gels, a lovely living rooms with TV. Close to Costco shop, gas stations, resto. You have also, a BBQ with a small garden in the back. We recommend it for family with kids/ 2 families. 2 parking lots in front of the house.

The apartment was a great value, it was easy to get it and there is always street parking available. Water pressure was good and it was pretty quiet.

It is a pretty run down building and the apartment itself is quite beaten up. The mattresses are dirty but the sheets were fine.
