The owner shared the history of the house, the neighborhood and the historical district. He has lived in the same 'block' his entire life and shared the best places to eat, visit and how to get around with a conscious effort on value for your money. He always had a smile, was genuine and extremely flexible. It was a wonderful weekend get away from Lisboa and met our needs to stay in a house, not a hotel.

The weather was cold, so we had to run the heating more than we expected. The house is big, so it took a while for the rooms and main floor to heat. The kitchen doesn't have an oven, so we improvised with stove cooking and bringing left overs back to the house.

Great location. Wonderful host with valuable history. The house was historic and our host was most helpful!!

It was self catering . Host gave us information on nearby restaurants , and also some must see attractions . Very helpful, including contact numbers. It is a beautifull house with a lot of history.

Great location in a very nice quiet neighbourhood Loved the family history of the house & Fernando was a lovely host, helping us with taxi bookings, fado reservation & cafe suggestions.. Always available & helpful . A parting gift was a lovely touch of the family home photo .

Washing machine & oven would have been a great help as we stayed for a week with 4 adults. After travelling it is helpful to wash your clothes. No kettle to make tea. It was suggested to use the coffee machine but it had a tainted taste. We used a saucepan on the cook top

Great location, Great staff

We had a pleasant stay. We had a warm welcome of the host, who told us every thing about the old historic house. Although it is old it is in great shape and has very nice chandeliers! We had a nice bathroom and enough towels. In every room there was good airconditioning. The kitchen was fine, we had some pans and knives and enough plates and glasses, there were no spices though. but these were very cheap, so we just bought the basics. We had some cleaning supplies and enough toiletpaper. The host was always available for questions or tips for Porto. He had extra keys if needed, so if you want to split up that is perfectly fine. The location was great, only a 15 min walk to the city centre, but you could also get a metro.

Nothing really, maybe that we only had one tea towel and dishcloth. At the end of the week these were dirty, but that was not that big of a problem for us.

We liked the very traditional features of the property, with good access to the city and the host Fernando we really helpful and informative.

There was nothing that we did not like.

A very warm welcome from the owner, who provided some great tips for our stay; The house has been in the family for many years and it was lovely to hear about it's history; Great location for walking into the old town centre, with local places to eat; A very comfotable stay.

The host was very friendly and helpful. The property is as shown in pics and very close to the city centre.
