Excellent location, beautiful home, wonderful hosts; we had a lovely time.

Great well equipped property in an excellent location. Really nice bonus to have a hot tub, and if you like cats, the local ones are very friendly. José and Andreia were efficient and friendly when messaged with queries.

Location was amazing. Accomodation was beautiful. Not often that you get to stay in such a unique location. Loved the restaurants and shops nearby.

An authentic experience being in a fortified medieval village in a property which was clean, comfortable and very enjoyable. Excellent communication from host. Castle literally next door and village both authentic and a preserved delight. There are compromises in getting to the property but nothing that should cause any problems to the organised. Views from property and village are wonderful and on a good day you have up to 30 kms visibility. Facilities are reasonable, clean and work.

These are not negative comments but additional information. The nearest decent size supermarket is at Reguengos de Monsaraz about a 20 minute drive away. Nice town with an excellent Continente plus the usual Pingo Dolce etc. Worth the drive. Corval, the centre of pottery in Portugal is about 15 minutes away, also worth a visit. There are restaurants in Monsaraz, check their opening days and times. Plan to drive into the village, drop bags or shopping at the front door then park outside a short distance. It made things very easy. Property on 3 levels but easy to access. Shower usable but worth the owners upgrading in the future. A worthwhile experience in a unique location.
