Galveston Escapes - Walk to Beach and Restaurants

We enjoyed the beach, sights and the the beach house was awesome.

We enjoyed everything!

The location to the beach is about 5 minutes away. Actually it's in walking distance. Near restaurants and Walmart.

The inside of the house is nice, but the BEDS are HORRIBLE!!! Please invest in getting some new mattress. I felt bad for the old couples that pulled up when we were leaving I wanted to tell them, so badly that they would be better off by going to get air mattresses to sleep on.

Very pretty

I liked the proximity to the beach, sea wall and the downtown area. it’s very centrally located so we appreciated that.

there’s a list. 1. it was dirty. dead flies and bugs were all over the floor. there was a towel I. the rear bath with a very clear make up marking on it. 2. cockroaches. found 3 cockroaches during our stay. 2 crawling around in the kitchen and 1 in the laundry area. 3. the neighbor had what I would call a rager party at midnight both nights. music so loud it rattled the screen door on the rear bedroom. multiple neighbors called the police and they came on both nights. so that was fun. 4. there were multiple broken things in the home. towel bar. fan. TV remote missing. large scuffs on walls and wall/door damage. rear screen doors don’t stay closed with winds causing them to bang all night. 5. needing to enter through the alley because of construction and then having to park far away from the house. (city is doing construction) so this is temporary. felt like I was paying a large cleaning fee for nothing as the house was very dirty and the cleaner either never cleaned or did an absolutely terrible job.

Nice

The neighborhood was quiet and the people next door were very friendly. The backyard was fenced and perfect for dogs. The house was very clean and the kitchen was great!

A lot of work was being done on the street so we had limited parking, but the driveway is long so it worked out. The owners did warn us about the street work, which of course they had no control over.
