Gecko Cottage at Artemis

Gecko Cottage ist etwas für Kreative. Es liegt am Hang mit einem wundervollen Blick ins Franchhoek Valley und hat einen großen kreativ angelegten Garten, der zum Entdecken einlädt - mit einem natürlichen Pool zum Abkühlen. Küche, Bad und Außenbereich waren sehr sauber und gemütlich eingerichtet. Die Kommunikation mit der Gastgeberin war sehr gut und aufmerksam. Auch als nachts wegen eines Großbrands in den umliegenden Bergen der Strom ausfiel, kümmerte sie sich sofort und beantwortete unsere Fragen. Toll ist, dass man in gut 15 min.zu Fuß sowohl das Zentrum des Ortes als auch die Franchhoek Wine Train Station erreicht.

Amazing location and beautiful natural gardens. Rustic cottage within easy walking distance of main road in Franschoek, but secluded enough for privacy and calm.

Mattress a bit too firm for my liking.

We love that Gecko feels rural, but the village is still easily accessible by car or on foot. We adore the wild swimming. We love walking through the indigenous gardens too. We love the peace and quiet. We also love the noisy wildlife. A little bit of heaven. It's close enough to visit my Mom and distant enough from her cottage to respect her space and privacy, too.

We always love coming to Gecko. There is nothing we dislike.
