Sycamore Cottage York, dog friendly, close to the river

Great location

Shower pressure was poor.

Location is great!

It was dirty and the “double” beds were not standard size and very small

Instructions on how to get to the property were clear and keys easy to locate/access. The property is in a convenient location, a short walk from the city centre and train station. We liked the open plan living room and kitchen. On street parking space was also convenient.

Communication from the host could be improved. Text message with query about parking was not answered and pre-arrival email not acknowledged. Bathrooms are looking a little tired around the edges and could do with upgrading. People sensitive to noise should be aware that you can hear the trains from one of the bedrooms and people walking along a footpath at night from the other bedroom (quite noisy on a Saturday night). Ear plugs are recommended.

Loved the location. Really easy to get to the train station and into York city

The noise from other property’s partying and the walk way through to other parts next to the cottage. But I know that’s not the property’s fault.

Location good.

All taps on sinks loose, could not open back door, baths were not ckean, limitef kitchen utensils, double beds could have been bigger, private mail put in bottom draw including 2 from hmrc.

Clean spacious had everything we needed close to centre but out the way .

Very good location for centre of York

Some little areas could be fixed which were small eg curtain fixing in lounge coming off wall, key to back door not working. There was no cork screw in the kitchen area.
