Stodham House with Minster views!

Great location- easy walk into the city. Gorgeous furnishings and lots of special touches, making this a real home from home. Everything you need is here!! Thank you for a lovely stay.

The only feedback I have is that there is only 1 car parking space with the property, which i know isn't easy to resolve, due to city centre parking being a premium.

Lovely, Georgian house tastefully decorated with quality furniture /beds/crockery/glassware etc. Fully equipped kitchen Good size rooms. Very close to town centre . Loved the book collection in the living room. Wish I could have finished 'Uncle Roger'

Busy road outside which did interfere with sleep in the front bedrooms despite the very comfy beds. Shouldn't really put this in the 'didn't like' section as I'm sure it will be dealt with but the downstairs shower head may need replacing as it spurts a bit.

Jayne & Michelle were able to accommodate us with our earlier arrival and later check out,which we really appreciated

The property is located just outside the walls and is in a great location to walk into town, which only took a couple of minutes. Having private parking included was a great bonus although it was tight squeeze (we drive a Hilux so longer than most vehicles). The bedrooms were a good size and the beds very comfortable. The kitchen was lovely and the free biscuits was a nice treat. We used the living room and it was great having somewhere we could all sit.

My husband and I stayed in the downstairs front bedroom. There was no wardrobe or drawers to put clothes, only a small clothing rail with 3 coat hangers so we had to keep everything in our suitcases. Also as the room is right onto the street and a very busy road its noisy until late and starts very early. We were woken at 4am from people walking past talking. Friends who stayed in the other rooms didn't have an issue with noise. One of the bathrooms is located between the two bedrooms on the third floor and the other is off the second downstairs bedroom. It was not ideal having to walk through others bedrooms to use a bathroom to get a shower. We did have the use of a toilet through the night located off the dining room on the middle floor but was a bit of a nuisance having to go upstairs each time. Also the light fitting was faulty and the light would go off and not come back on until we tapped it. Again a bit inconvenient when it's pitch black.

Very clean, spacious and comfortable. Great central location to explore the city and easy walk from the station.

The house is lovely , very clean , special little touches .

It is on a busy road ,so if you are in the front bedrooms from around 4am the traffic is noisy ,but I think the windows are single glazing ,I would imagine because it is an old Georgian house with sash windows , but it would not put us off staying again it was such a lovely house .

Fantastic location, four of our group arrived by train, and two of our group came by car. Great directions from the owners of how to find the house. Once here, we never used the car at all. The town is in easy walking distance. The house is lovely. Nice, clean, and tidy. Everything you need. The beds were comfy. The layout of the house was ideal for us.

The house is next to a busy main road, so it can be a little bit noisy from all the traffic. Especially for the downstairs, front bedroom.
