Mary and Derek’s cottage was the perfect home away from home four our long weekend in York. Very cozy and charming, complete with Xmas decorations! Just a very short walk to the center of town and easy parking at the door. Thanks for having us! ☺️

Please note the stairs are steep, so maybe not suitable for the very young or old.

Steep stairs, tight for space, tight for parking on street

Wonderful house. Close to the Minster, the City Centre, the Sainsbury‘s supermarket, a charming place, very quiet, lovely fireplace in the living room. Very nice landlady, we were extremely happy to have found this place. Looking forward to going there againg. We can only recommend this place!!!

Stairs a bit steep but that cannot be helped

Gem of a find in an ideal location. Short walk into town (especially to Roberto's and Little Italy!) and for more than one car just one minute walk from Monk Bar car park. Clean rooms, well equipped, and arrived to find 3 cupcakes to welcome us! After living in York for 12 ½ years, this was ideal when planning a return. Would use again and would definitely recommend.

Not a dislike, but more of an advisory to anyone that may struggle, that the stairs are steep.
