Waverley

Location was very central and perfectly located to explore the city attractions on foot. House is very cozy with lots of lovely details, with everything you need. Clear and detailed communication with Mary the host, who was very understanding when we had to call the AA and check out a little late! Highly recommend.

As mentioned by others stairs a bit steep.

The location was great, just 15 minute walk into the City. Property was very clean and everything we needed was there. The hosts were very accommodating and helpful.

We feel that nothing more is required.

House was warm, clean, and cosy. Felt like home away from home. You didn't need to use the car all weekend as the house is literally minuets walk from town. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming.

Nothing super place to stay

the house was very cosy and very very close to city, only 5 min walk. the owners went above board to make our stay comfortable even helping us with parking, which in York is not easy! we even had fresh baked cakes to welcome us. we definitely will use them again and recommend this little gem

the staircase was a bit of a trial especially with a dog, but as its an old house I think these style stairs are part and parcel of this type of property.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Waverley, the cottage was ideal for our family and the location was perfect, so close to York centre. Very welcoming host, thank you for the cakes. Very good value.

The house is in a fabulous location, walking distance into the historical part of York - Free parking was a huge bonus. Sweet character cottage. Very friendly owner.

The cottage is in need of a complete redecoration, quite musty and dusty in places - beds were uncomfortable and mattress springs make sleeping difficult, towels thin and worn. Note - don't recommend for elderly as stairs are very steep.
