Lendal Tower

We were met on arrival and given a tour of the property. Any questions we had were answered immediately and text messages were also answered quickly. The owners are very accommodating and I would be very happy to stay here again. The building itself is stunning! Very well maintained with furnishings to a high standard. The location is perfect for visiting York and having a garage for two cars is amazing, this saves hundreds of pounds on carpark fees.

There were several niggly little things that could have easily been sorted with proper maintenance/ cleaning. Examples of which are loose taps on sinks (there are several of these), mould inside storage tins in the kitchen, extractor fans not working, recycling bins in the kitchen but nowhere to empty these into (only 1 black bin in the garage), and in the upper bedroom there are sockets in the floor but not all of these work. As I said these are only small things but did distract from the overall enjoyment of our week. The only other issue I would raise is that if someone uses the bath, then there is not enough hot water for another to follow them. Again, only a small thing but only having a bath and no shower in that room, it does make getting ready to go out a problem as you have to go right to the ground floor to use the shower there. Please don't get me wrong, these are only little issues and I am very keen to stay at Lendal Tower again.

Excellent location couldn't be more convenient for visiting York. Close to Minster, shops, pubs, restaurants and station only short walk away. Ample space for two cars in garage but getting in is tight especially if your car is long. Also when we were there workmen's vans blocking road down to garage.

Would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. But if they read information should be aware of that anyway.

Spectacular historic building in the centre of town. Beautifully restored and equipped with a stunning roof terrace. The accommodation truly reflects the photos and didn't disappoint. Fabulous weekend spent with friends in a perfect tower with captivating ambience. So sad to leave.

Everything.......the history of the building, the bedrooms and bathrooms are just beautiful and comfortable, the rooftop terrace, the close proximity to town centre is a few minutes crossing the road so ideal for shopping, restaurants etc. Next to the Gardens so lovely for a stroll. Free parking in a private, locked garage.

Great location short walk to everything from the station to the minster. Property very warm and cozy. Beautiful views every morning. Great place to base your visit to York from

It was a really good experience just being able to stay in a historical tower - location was great, the tower was well equipped.

Everything was first class

The location is exceptional but the roof terrace is the stuff of dreams. Beautifully furnished and incredibly interesting, historic building, the photos, pictures and letters on the walls are a lovely way to learn about the tower too. I *may* have cried when it was time to leave…

My knees! Lots of stairs but considering we overdid the sightseeing it was still utterly worth it! Joking aside nothing could be improved, it’s perfect :)

We liked everything! It worth every penny we spent! From now on it is only place we will stay in York.
