Lendal Tower

The property and location were fantastic. We really enjoyed our stay.

Fabulous location, really convenient for all of Yorks attractions. Loved all the historical features. Lendal Tower has been very sympathetically updated. Really interesting to be able to learn about the buildings history, through the pictures on the wall and features from the buildings past still on show. The garden was a real gem, so beautifully kept and a delight to have such a secluded space in the centre of York. The roof terrace was terrific, amazing views and ideal for watching the sun set. Having parking available so close to the property was a real bonus. Great communication from Mike and Nathan. Any queries were answered quickly and they were so helpful.

Nothing- We had a Wonderful stay.

Everything. The age of the tower, The excellent renovation, The location, The garden, The rooftop, The rooms… It was SPECTACULAR.

We didn’t mind this but if you don’t handle lots of stairs well this isn’t the place for you. Now to nitpick: The upper floor bedroom has a bath and toilet area that isn’t completely closed off from the rest of the room, just a partition. Also the light switch for the bath area was behind the bed, very awkward to get to at night. Maybe there was another switch somewhere?

As we are in our 70’s, we find it difficult to climb the stairs with luggages! But overall, great building to stay.
