Some of the general rules: 1/ going to office to finalize paperwork and they still couldn’t get it correct as apartment code was not correct. 2/ lack of English speaking service at the office 3/ house rules that honestly are stupid: You cannot have any visitors to the place even just to use bathroom. I have a friend who lives in Kyoto and was coming to pick us up to take us to Gion festival and they were not even allowed to come inside. Had to wait outside in the heat and would not be allowed to use bathroom. Just stupid and frankly RUDE 4/ They want you to report to them every time you call a taxi like why?! Makes no sense. I didn’t come to Kyoto to be tracked of my every movement. 5/ code to apartment didn’t work at checkin so we had to wait again for someone to resolve after we went to the office. They had to send someone to reset.

Perfect home if you want a traditional style japanese experience. Dreamy mornings start with a hot cup of matcha, while you wear kimono pyjamas and socks which the host prepared for us (really nice touch). The location is a great starting point for your expedition to explore Kyoto.

it had been very well thought of. things you never knew you need or thought would not be provided are there already prepared for you. love the most about the heated bath area.
