Galle City Nest

The host family was super nice and the tea for breakfast was sweet but nice ☺️. We also really liked the view on the rooftop over the city and the perfect location close to the city centre and the fort. The room even had a small kitchen and table which was great.

Unfortunately we booked the room because it said it was air conditioned which was not the case. The room is on the roof and therefore quite hot because the sun shines on it and there was only a small fan no air conditioning. However, we were able to lower the temperature a little by opening the windows at night and letting the fan bring in the cooler air. It's just not what we thought we'd get.

1) This house is situated atop of a hill. Hence, it provides a good panoramic view. 2) Location not far from the town center. 3) Cheap.

It was very hot, even at night. There is no air conditioning. The room is situated on the top floor, which makes it especially hot (because the sun heats the roof). I was barely able to sleep, even though I slept with open windows and a fan blowing directly on me.

Very good place to stay & friendly staff.

Very cool place. We had beautiful view on the centre of Galle and Dutch fort from the roof. Very friendly owner and perfect restaurant nearby.

Nice view, bed looked clean, there is a stove and rice cooker.

Smelled like bug spray and we had a large cockroach in the room. The door rattled in the wind and made a lot of noise in the night.

good location. close to the bus stand and railway station. room located on the top floor of the building so great views and privacy.

the room got really hot on the first night. not much airflow. with the storm the second day it was alright.
