Bock Retreat Lodge 54 with Hot Tub

Nothing at all.

Firstly the host does not respond to messages or answer calls. Very very bad communication. I had to get all my questions answered through booking.com when an agent contacted him. Secondly the day I arrived they whole lodge, windows, fridge, microwave, beds, walls, doors literally everything is infested with bugs. The bugs were on mine and my kids clothes and the hot tub was full of them too. The pathway leading up to the hot tub was difficult as the weeds were extremely overgrown. For a lodge you paying £ 270 for 1 night, it should be in pristine condition. Then it gets better, he accuses me of not putting the keys back and also I have no idea if I am to get my money back as he is blaming the weather for the bugs.

Lodge was superb,

externally needs some tlc ie weeds, nettles, grass not cut. The site needs ground care and the children’s play area while excellent play equipment was dangerous with exposed trip risk webbing.

Peaceful

- upon arrival we opened the door and smell was of sick/diaherra on the toilet from previous guests - the main bedroom partner got stuck in the door needs fixing - the kitchen cookware ie trays and pans was dirty - the cooking utensils was dirty had to be washed before use - strip of cupboard coming away - fire place coming away - so many rules ( understand but felt like the military with asking car registrations etc ) - the sink in main bedroom doesn't drain properly - bedding we found to have hairs on - place needed a good deep clean! The main issue was when we had the problem of the toilet we was ringing both numbers and no answer at all to acknowledge us as guests with an issue! And they just sent a cleaner which if they had spoke to us I had to clean it.. 1. Because we had children 2. The smell was that bad even with windows open i couldn't stand it any longer.

Place was beautiful, hot tub was a great feature Will definitely be coming back Lots of lovely views around site as well

It was lovely and clean ideal for a few days away hot tub was brilliant

Everything was okay hot tub could be a bit more secluded but good for a few days

Hi we loved our stay until the next door lodge had trouble family arguing and fighting relating to drink police arrived .also we had police knocking at our lodge for information of what we seen and heard . But this was nothing to do with the stay in your lodge
