Bock Retreat Lodge 54 with Hot Tub

It's 2nd time we've been it's just like home from home. Hot tub wonderful, quiet, lovely equipped kitchen, comfy beds, warm n cosy. Perfect!

Great place, modern with hot tub

There was nothing we didn’t like

Very clean well equipped property , would love to visit again

My daughter suggested some hooks on the back of doors to hang coats or towels would help

Clean, good location. Essentials supplied. Good communication from owner.

Only downside was no cover over the hot tub for bad weather.

We arrived at the property without a code, at 4.30pm owners are very slow to respond, they did not answer the phone and would only respond to messages (not straight away). Code received then went back to the lodge at 6.15, no electricity to the lodge ( this can happen) but owners did not seem to care, so we were sat in the dark for 45 minutes until a man arrived and it couldn't be fixed. We were offered a different lodge but informed we could only stay until 12 the following day as it booked. Arrived at new lodge at 7.30pm. The following day we tried on many occasions to contact the owners, again would only respond by message (one message took up to an hour for a response and one owner was telling us to ring the other as they were dealing with it) At 12.30 still no offer of alternative accommodation so we booked a different lodge and had to pay again. We are now trying to get some of our money returned to pay for the new lodge, again I am being informed it would be returned today, not at this time 5.30pm. I would be wary of booking this lodge the owners are not very helpful, I understand problems happen but to be left without any where to stay is not good and I would not recommend

Broken kettle switch had been repaired with plastercine, when reported was promptly replaced. Broken wine glass had been put on shelf. Broken metal bracket on sofa bed made it impossible to use so two guests had to sleep on floor. This was not ideal. Probably not reported by previous customers.

The lodge was spotless there was tea coffee sugar and milk left for us arriving what a lovley gesture a couple of little things wernt right cosmeticly but nothing that stopped us enjoying and being comfortable from start to finish very well looked after and good value for money will definitely be booking again
