We had to leave after staying one night of our planned two. Arrived at about 15.00 on the first day and by 20.00 we had no power at all. We were informed upon our arrival that there was an issue with Eskom,but the property was supplied by solar and backup batteries and that the power should be restored shortly. Well that failed completely at 20.00 that night and we were left in the dark with no backup at all,not even a LED torch could be found anywhere. We tried calling and messaging our host to find out an expected time for the power to be restored or were we could find a torch,unfortunately no response to our messages or calls. Trying to find her way around with her cell phone torch in the dark my wife tripped and fell against the coffee table in the lounge and injured herself. This was the deciding factor for us and we packed up first thing the next morning and left.,very disappointed with our whole experience There was still no power at the property when we left the next morning. We were also unable to even have a hot shower that night before bed as the geyser was an electric one and the water was cold.
