Karkloof Hideout

A little slice of heaven! We were warmly received by Peta. The cottage is clean, well looked after, and thoughtfully set up. From sitting by the window with our morning coffee to listening to the sounds of nature off the deck, we enjoyed every moment. Our hosts respected our privacy the entire stay, which truly did make this feel like a hideout.

That it had to end.

Clean, neat, secluded and quiet and that’s all I needed

It was private, idyllic and peaceful with the opportunity to walk through the property on marked out trails. Within a nice distance of things to do in the area and shops and restaurants.

Chairs and bed were a little uncomfortable and around the basin in the bathroom needs more of a clean/tiles to remove the white splatters.

The seclusion, the comfort, the setting. Access to natural and also feeling safe.

It's near perfect.

The location and tranquility. You feel isolated which is a good thing if you're there to unwind and recharge. The owner is close by which is great coz you feel safe. The owner is kind and made me feel welcome. Great value for money. Better than what I expected.

I had a bat in the room which meant I didn't sleep well for 2 nights in a row. Unfortunately the owner didn't hear my call the second night and came the next day to assist (the day I was checking out). It was terrifying for me. Lots of bugs coming in from the outside. Took my own peaceful sleep plugs etc.

Location, space and comfortable.

Did wish for a fan for the hot days. Even if it's just a little portable one.
