Lovely and warm, space was amazing and great views

The beds were a little uncomfortable

The house was very spacious (very good value for a family or small group) and the internet and TV were good. It was easy to walk to the local shops and the food vans. Twizel is well situated for the skiing we were doing.

The wood heater and/or the wood was largely ineffectual in adding heat to the building. Having to leave the air conditioner on 24/7 because of the cold meant the internal fan was running most of the time, which is noisy next to two of the bedrooms if you leave the doors open to let in the heat.

The place is warm and cozy. We love that there’s two bathrooms available and the rooms are spacious and clean.

The wooden front entrance going to the main door was very slippery due to frost.

We are regular visitors to Twizel and Ratlin Cottage is one of the best stays we have stayed in. Is the perfect size not too big not too small. The heating was great with fire or heat pump. Bedrooms are a great size. Spacious kitchen and living areas. Was great having 2 bathrooms and 2 toilets. Excellent location, just a stroll to town. Would definitely stay here again.

The roadworks outside the front door & driveway were a little disappointing and noisy at 6.30am
