Quinta da Galeira

Location!! Although it's on the top of the city (quite a steep hill), the facilities, the accommodation and an incredible view from terrace are worth every step! The garden surrounding the houses is beautiful, floral and so well looked after. The terrace of our house had amazing seats that allowed us to comfortably sit and enjoy evenings with a bottle of wine overlooking Douro. The owner also brought us some porto tonic and pastels de nata during our last afternoon. Will definitely be coming back here.

Such an amazing place, everything was perfect! Best location and view of the Douro. The apartment was huge and had everything we needed. We'll be back for sure.

Great view over the Douro. Dogs barking all night were not good, but these are not from the owners. Very friendly people, we could take oranges from their tree. We would stay here again, can be recommended. We were in apartment 2 which was ideal for our party of 4.

There was no one to greet us. The key was in the door. The apt is dated. We were offered an apt upstairs because the 1 bedroom downstairs had several negative reviews about the toilet/bathroom and the foul scent. The apt we had was a 2 bedroom, and did not have such a bad scent as others described. However, there was a sewage scent, but it did not affect the rest of the apartment. I believe there is an issue with their sewage. See photo for what was used to disguise the strange scent in the toilet.
