Casa do Jornaleiro - Douro

Pretty villa, very comfortable, could probably do with a few more kitchen implements as the property is so remote you have to cater for yourself as eating out is very difficult. The villa was clean and as the pictures show it, the host was helpful. The views are stunning.

It’s much more remote than we realised with Pinhão offering very little. We had planned 4 nights but left after 2. There is a lot of noise from dogs through the night which isn’t the fault of the villa but worth knowing if you like a full nights sleep.

The property was clean and comfortable and had a small balcony with a river view. Pinhao is close and a great place to get a boat trip on the Douro River.

It was a bit too remote for us, located high above Pinhao.

Great little place hidden in the heart of Casal de Loivos, atop a mountain and a short drive from Pinhão in the scenic Douro Valley. Perfect place to explore the many wine Quintas and come back to rest in peaceful and quiet town. The house is small but it is sufficiently spacious. Great place with amazing views.

It is a little tricky to get to the place, but it is worth it! Restaurants nearby close early and often need a reservation.

Bathroom and kitchen were dirty. Had to wash all dishes before using. Place also smelled a bit off. Was okay, but definitely not worth the price I paid

The house was spacious and met all our needs. The bedrooms had great windows and were very comfortable. Overall, the house was very clean and the host was so kind and easy to communicate with.

The location was a little tough if you wanted to spend time by the water in Pinhao. The village was adorable, close to some wineries and had a little cafe, but it could be tough to coordinate with taxis to get up and down the hill, especially at night if you wanted to do dinner in town.

Authentic place in a tranquille village. We loved everything.

It was a bit tricky to find a house late in the evening and we didn't figure out how to use a coffee machine.

It was a lovely place situated in the village with the most beautiful view of the valley. The house was very well equipped, comfortable, with air conditioning.
