The fact that the place needed a good clean on entering and no WiFi as stated and no tv connection which when have a child is not the best at all ! After numerous attempts of contacting agents and company finally being offered a small discount on next stay when I have no plans on coming back anytime soon is not a great offer very disappointed 😑 Ive waited to leave the review hoping they would get back to me with a resolution but nothing so just stating as it is .

Great location to access all areas of whitby. Good view of the docks. The property has a lot of space.

Property is not easy to find. The property needs modernising. Painting, newer wardrobes and sets for drawers required. Everything is just looking tatty and dated. A number of Cupboards in the property have a lot of junk in them and need cleaning. Parking is difficult, especially for dropping bags off. WIFI does not work albeit it advises it has Internet. Blinds let a lot of light in at night and morning, Windows let a lot of noise through and some do not open. Windows could do with a clean.

Boiler broken no hot water or heating, no Wi-Fi or tv, windows very drafts, no curtains to block light or draft, difficult to find properly from the street, no door number on the property, stair well lights not working

Parking was nightmare could be parking for the lets or permit to park .and thought there could be more cooking things in kitchen better plates and cleaning products and mop buckets .carpets a clean as smelt a bit

The only Decent thing about this accommodation is the location and view. **Please read the review left by the people who stayed here before us... Search - 'most recent' I just can not believe it, laughable almost.....The disgusting dirty socks they found on the sofa were still there when we arrived a day later!! and the guests before that didn't even stay they went home! * If you do book this cottage (which i would not recommend) take a torch the entrance is treacherous in the dark and stairwell light is a joke. * We spoke to Host and stay approx. 6 times and were told maintenance was coming within the hour, they never came. Surprise surprise! * The cottage is empty for 6 hours between lets and your booking fee includes £60 cleaning fee..... then it should be clean The cottage sleeps 4 but it does not cater for 4 people, you can not self-cater here as it doesn't even have basic essentials.

So we booked this cottage early in the year June, & i have sadly watched the ratings go down for months & all the poor reviews, all the same stuff, no internet, tv doesn't work, the cottage not being clean... i emailed Host & stay in Oct & again Nov, said i was concerned & are the owners actually doing anything to resolve all the issues people are consistently complaining about. Yes apparent they are, clearly not! The cottage is more of an apartment through a passageway next to the laundry. the door is the only door with no number or name on it luckily someone did help me after about 15 minutes of walking up & down. The cottage needs a really good deep clean, we were welcomed by dirty socks on the sofa, a dishwasher full of dirty pots & pans (that i left in there, just took out the cups that we needed, as i refuse to scrub someone else's pans) We complained the day we arrived 29th Found tablets in the rug, (my son thinks they were pez sweets?) The cottage sleeps 4 but only 2 glasses (pint glass & small tumbler) no dinner plates just 3 small side plates and 3 smaller saucers. No kitchen bin they just left a bin liner (my dog wouldn't leave alone obviously!) microwave has to be turned off at the plug or it cooks nothing constantly its unsafe, to cook in it, slam the door & hold it shut or the door just keeps popping open every 3 seconds its knackered! Dirty rusty canisters with no tea, sugar in. No cleaning stuff, brush or mop, no frying pan, chopping boards, oven trays, Internet doesn't work so neither does the smart TV, no Ariel, so no basic channels to watch. I contacted Host and stay about the internet & TV plenty of times pre arrival, its Dec, pitch black at 4pm & anyone with kids are stuck in for a long night. No radio or games. Hall light bulb gone, Creaky beds, clock needed batteries, rusty towel rail that marks the towels. top bedroom window doesn't close. It was freezing.

Not the cleanest , stains on seats that we wiped off , lounge carpet could really do with a clean , landing lightbulb gone , internet didn’t work , someone’s socks stuffed in the settee from whenever
