No TV in the bedroom not a deal breaker but I like to watch TV in bed No wifi

The location was perfect, just a short walk from areas of interest. It was such a lovely quirky property, my partner and I loved it! Bed and sofa very comfortable, the bath was huge! and we loved the view from the decking. The host left us some milk and teabags/coffee which we really appreciated. Thank you.

The property was overall pretty clean inside. Except in the bedroom where I found myself to be covered in dog hairs after getting out of the bath, I'm guessing from previous guests as we didn't bring any pets. The windows were also a little grubby but not a huge issue.

The Boathouse is a lovely little place and fully equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay. The accommodation was clean, the bed is was very soft, which i didn't mind, but my husband didn't like, but i suppose you can't please everyone 😂 Tea, coffee, sugar and milk was provided for our arrival. The location is excellent to explore Whitby. Lovely little shops, cafes, and bars on the doorstep. Entry was smooth as a key safe code is messaged to you the day before you are due to arrive. The host said there would be a parking permit in the welcome folder and to leave £10 if used, but there wasn't one, so we parked at the co-op costing around £35 for 3 full days parking.

The spiral staircase is an issue, quite wobbly, the top two steps leading to the bedroom need attention! The over bath shower is an experience, especially if you are a bigger/taller person than average as it's tucked under the eaves, so there's no standing room. The whole place is in need of a little TLC and a lick of paint, the outdoor decking area is quite rotten / unstable in places which would benefit from a bit of maintenance ie repairing, sanding and re-staining however we did enjoy our time sat out there as the views are amazing especially on an evening. All of the above being said, it wouldn't put us off returning in the future. 🙂

Unbeatable location.

It’s tired and needs some repair work and rejuvenation. It was cold and heating didn’t work. TV kept going off. Spiral staircase difficult to climb with plates in your hand from kitchen. Decking is spongy and peeling. Shutters are broke. Wood burner no longer works. Broken fairy lights. Smoke detector missing in bedroom.

Location superb. Probably best in Whitby

TV/remote needs sorting.

The location, light & spacious. Quirky! Nice sofa & bed. Good kitchen facilities

Cracked tiles in the bathroom floor & filthy grout! Kitchen walls & every door needs painting as looks grubby. Decking is awful - desperately needs varnishing/staining. All needs a good spruce up as looks tired & neglected
