"What a warm and welcoming stay!"

This is what walking the Camino is about-people! The hosts were so lovely, providing a ride to their location, showing us the views, even waiting for us to pick up some groceries. The home was cozy and just what we needed after walking. The morning breakfast gave us a great start for another long journey-we hope to come back!

The bathroom was a little dark but hardly an issue

"Beautiful Cottage and Wonderful Host"

Not only is Casa da Portela a lovely and private cottage with a beautiful garden, Marilia was an exceptional host. She picked us up from the center of town, refreshments were waiting for us on arrival and breakfast was delicious. Embarrassingly, twice during our stay we misplaced important items and she drove out of her way to help us retrieve them. We are grateful for her kindness and warmth as well as the comfort and spaciousness of the cottage. I highly recommend Casa da Portela.

Lovely, quiet spot with a bit of character. Owners were very happy to pick us up from town. Owners provided us with a lovely soup and sandwiches.

"Very clean charming renovated old home. Great hosts and breakfast"

The owners generously drove down the hill to pick us up. After a 30 km walk, we were very happy not to climb up to the pension. The owner even drove us down in the morning to the ferry. Extremely nice people. The apartment was very nice - fully renovated very old house. Very charming and tasteful. Nice quiet area. Breakfast was great

The ceiling clearance in the apartment main floor is low, so not optimal for tall 190cm people.

I was picked up from the centre of town by the hosts. They kindly took me to the supermarket so I could buy some food for dinner
