Says nothing about wanting a $50 deposit on Zelle and if you cannot provide them with that, then you cannot check in they won’t take cash or any other payment apps for the deposit. I feel like that should definitely be made very clear before booking the room I was left with nowhere to go, and they took the last bit of my money which left me in a very bad pickle being that I’m not from the area route host could care less about the situation that I was in due to him not being clear about the requirements to stay at his property

AC is diabolically loud

Good location to the subway, which is what I needed.

You have to zelle the owners $30 by 11 PM or they will cancel your stay. I booked the stay when I was in another country so could not access my Zelle account until I was in the United States. I’ve stayed at HUNDREDS of places throughout the years I’ve been traveling and I never once had to Zelle the host for a deposit. The facility was barely clean, I had to hang a scarf over the window in the basement because a bright light was shining through, and it takes forever to get your Zelle deposit back. To stay in the room was $109 + the $30 Zelle. I was there for 5 hours. Not worth the money and the hassle that comes with getting your deposit back. I would not stay here again.

- The location of the room is very accessible to NY. One PATH train to the subway system. - The owner replies to the messages soon and they are reachable. - Lots of restaurants nearby. The location is good to try out different cuisines from Brazilian, Peruvian to many others. - It is very close to the Newark airport making it very accessible.

- The room was in the basement and there was no information about it in the AD. There is no open window and it is not suitable for people who are claustrophobic. - The AD is misleading. It is nowhere close to the NYC subway. It is close to PATH trains that take 30 mins to reach the NYC subway. - Too many rules. Towels are provided but it should not be soiled. How should one use a towel then. Food is not allowed in rooms and one can eat only in the kitchen. - - The fan in the kitchen was not working. It is ok to dictate rules but this felt more like a strict student hostel than a hotel or a stay (not very suitable for families or couples). - Be ready to have ear plugs and eye masks. The AC was too loud and suddenly you might have the street light pop up through the closed window (even though there aren't Street lights). No prior information regarding these is provided. - The cleaning person arrives early in the morning and it can be very disturbing if you get the basement room. A lot of thudding. - There is no change of towels or sheets. Since this is competitive pricing, please mention the information in the AD. Bring adequate towels with you if you plan a long term stay(3 or more days). - The room is in a very sketchy area. The owners can't do anything about it, but be very careful before booking this place as there are many homeless people. - Don't forget the $30 deposit. Others have had problems when they didn't transfer it.
