it is in an excellent location.

The cottage is looking very tired, could do with a lick of paint and there are only 2 2 seater sofas yet the cottage sleeps 6 so 2 of our party had to sit on the floor

Spacious, clean, parking good

Could do with a little bit of tlc and updating thats all

Excellent location and very warm for the December days we stayed. Great to have the parking facilities too. Not too far to walk into town and lovely shops etc at the end of the road.

Not much to say here really. Only thing is the double bed wasn’t very comfy, I think it’s getting ready for a new mattress, other than that minor everything else was more than fine.

We stayed here beginning of August and & absolutely loved this cottage, it was so cosy and lovely. Loved how private it was given its central location and it had parking which we loved. John the host was amazing and was just at the end of the phone if needed. Will definitely be back!

the cleaner did not clean the place properly not hooverd or cleaned out fridge surfaces not wiped down bathroom very dated broken toilet seat and shower riser broken no seal on shower screen shame as it could be first class

The cottage position plus with a car parking space was perfect and the cottage was spacious and warm.

Well I don't know where to start, first thing I noticed is that the downstairs carpets hadn't been vacuumed had clumps of dog hair and chipsticks under dining table. it was like the cleaners simply couldn't be bothered to finish. The bathroom seriously needs updating , no plug for sink, broken shower head, no seal for shower screen and no loo seat lid. Also we were asked to strip our beds and put towels in a net bag, the pillow duvets and mattress had stains on them surely they should have protectors on!! Really the whole place needs a deep clean and spruce up, I would understand if the was major works to do why someone would be reluctant, but most of what needs doing is cosmetic and I wouldn't thought that expensive, especially when paying £140 a night off season . I have just read previous reviews and it seems i am not the only one with the same grumbles. ps it still only has 4 forks!!

Great position near to everything and very peaceful

The shower riser rail was broken and the shower isn't powerful at all. Also when I stripped the bed the quilt was very stained. It doesn't cost much to replace a stained quilt.

The cottage was clean, had all facilities that we needed, and communication from the owner was excellent. The location was perfect too - just a short walk to the centre of whitby.

It was a bit difficult to find in the dark via our sat nav so a map of exactly where it was located would have been useful (actually based behind a row of houses on the square). The property was really well heated but the weather was unexpectedly lovely though so it would have been useful to know how to turn the heating off for this particular instance.
